Duncraig is a popular northern suburb of Perth, Western Australia. It’s boundaries consist of Hepburn Avenue in the north, the Mitchell Freeway in the east, Marmion Avenue in the west and Beach Road in the south. Duncraig is roughly 8 square kilometres and is believed to have been coined the name Duncraig in the 60’s, most likely named after Duncraig Castle in Scotland. And why not too? It’s one of the best spots you can live in, in Western Australia!
Duncraig is extremely well serviced with local shopping facilities and parks. There are nine well-maintained, lush parks to enjoy with excellent and constantly maintained playground facilities including Granadilla Park, Juniper Park, Portree Park, Greenlaw Park, Marri Park, Melene Park, Noal Gannon Park, Percy Doyle Reserve and Salata Park. Local shopping centres include Lilburne Road Shop, Duncraig Village (Burragah Way), Duncraig Shopping Centre (Marri Road), Carine Glages Shapping Centre (Davallia Road/Beach Road) and Glengarry Shopping Centre (Glengarry Drive/Arnisdale Road).
One of the main reasons young families move into the area is for the six highly-regarded schools. Poynter Primary School, Davallia Primary School, Glengarry Primary School, Duncraig Primary School and Duncraig Senior High School. And the private St. Stephens School.
As you can see by now, you can’t really find a better spot to live in Perth than Duncraig! It’s less than two kilometres to the beach and only fifteen kilometres to the city. Nearly all of the blocks of land in Duncraig are still 600 to 1000 metres square, ensuring plenty of room in the backyard to bring up children.
At the top of this page, if you click on the SERVICES tab, you will have access to the best local Duncraig services. If you are a local business looking to be included on our SERVICES page, please fill out the contact form on the front of this website with information about your business. That being said, we never display a business on this site that has not been tried and tested by at least a few locals in the community.

Well, I’m sure we’ll all see each other around in the community really soon… At the local shops… Down at the park… At the fortnightly Poynter Primary Farmers Market… See you out there!
